Well, it is fairly well known that the X1 remotes leave a great deal to be desired. If you have tried all of the codes on the Comcast remote web site and also tried the 991 manual code search process then you may be out of luck.
The solution would be to buy a 3rd party universal remote (something I highly recommend).
No offense to your TV but NEC has never been a big player in the USA TV market. It is very possible there is no code.

I never realized how much we use the volume control until you have to climb a ladder to reach the volume control and turn the TV on and off. I wish I kept the old system; everything worked then. I tried the code from the old system, and that doesn't work either. I will keep trying until I find a code that works.
