Have also had problems with manual recordings. The only time something like this has been resolved is when a Tech person noted the FIRMWARE was not up to date. He did the update at which time I did not lose recordings or playlists. Sending a signal or unplugging the box will never ever work. Comcast should never make a customer change out X1 boxes because tech support in Asia or wherever has a standard script and requires an appointment. We should all be demanding credit for this so management begins to pay attention... it's the only way they finally pay attention to customer service issues. This has been happening for months.
