I understand the cloud dvr feature. It probably is wonderful for some people, but I am not one of them. I may watch one episode of one show this year using the cloud dvr features. I would be astonished if I actually watched two. It just isn't the way I like to watch television. I am disabled, and for the most part only leave home for appointments at a Doctor's office. Unforturnately, watching television is about all I can do at this time. I have the full package of movie channels, and I enjoy many different types of television shows and movies. I routinely have all of the tuners in the x1 box recording at the same time. I have a few shows that I prefer to watch when they air, but for the most part I like to record entire seasons and then binge watch one particular show at a time. With the paltry storage in the x1, I am constantly losing stuff. The one "killer feature" for me would be the ability to add an external hard drive. That would solve my problem, and would make me a satisfied customer. I'm sorry, but the cloud dvr just doesn't help or interest me.
Please forward my thoughts and my situation on to whichever group decides things like whether or not to enable the E-SATA port. I know that many people knock comcast for their customer support, but in all honesty this is my ONE problem with comcast. If I could use an external drive I would be completely happy with comcast's service. This is genuine and heartfelt. Thank you for your time.
