I do not recall banana plugs being used for video connections. They are usually used for speaker connections. I am not sure you provided enough information for this forum to help you but I suspect Andrew is probably correct. You may need a 3rd party AV company to help you with this.
FYI, if you cannot run an HDMI cable between your X1 box and your TV then X1 may not be the right solution for you.
