Samsung XG2 IR.png

Here is a picture of the Samsung XG2v2. I've highlighted the area where the IR target is located internally. Hi all. ComcastEricG here and I work on ComcastNeals team. I'm going to post pictures of all the X1 boxes shortly along with where the IR locations are located, manufacturer model number, X1 platform names, as well as any IR notes I think helpful. I've tested all of these boxes with multiple control systems and IR emitters, as well as disassembled them to verify the IR Target Eye is actually where we're aiming.

As a side note, this Samsung XG2 has a manufacturer model number of SX022ANM located on the bottom of the unit.

sehrschnell - if you are using a Universal Remote MX900 and your equipment is not line of sight (the closet I believe you mentioned), then you must have an MRF350 RF Processor Kit or something similar. This kit is what the IR emitter is coming from. This kit also has small, numbered screwhole terminals on the top. Each terminal corresponds with the number of the emitter (example - your cable box has an emitter that is plugged into the number 1 IR input). You can adjust the output gain via the screwhole on the top. Clockwise cranks it up and counterclockwise dials it down. Lastly, what box did you have before this Samsung XG2v2? You may have different IR codes in your remote. You mentioned another Samsung XG2, so you shouldn't be having these problems. Regardless, feel free to message me and we'll see if we can't figure it out.
