Re: Issues with box for tv

X1 Voice Remote Does Not Work at All

I receive an error message when I try to use any voice command with my X1 remote.  "Ooops! Something is not quite right.  XRE-09012".  I was in a chat with Xfinity/Comcast Tech Support this morning for an hour and we didn't get it working.  This forum must be pretty good because everything he had me try was right here.  Sorry, but this problem is not resolved.

Re: X1 DVR and XG2 box playing from cloud for new recordings

I've had a similar experience recently when I changed boxes, but it may not be exactly the same as your problem. I had the X1 DVR and changed the HD box in the bedroom to the latest X1 HD box (XiD-P) in the bedroom so I could watch DVR recordings on the TV in the bedroom. But then started to have problems with picture quality and audio. Many times when this started to happen the X1 platform would find the program in the cloud and play that instead of what was on the DVR. I thought the DVR was malfunctioning but when I had techs on the phone they ran tests and gave it an all clear. So they sent out a tech. I live in an apartment building and when the tech opened the Comcast main box in the basement he found that another tech, many years ago, rather than connect the tenants correctly put a splitter on my line so it was feding two apartments. The other tenant wasn't stealing cable, he didn't even know it, just that it was an easier solution for the earlier tech to split the line than to do the job correctly. Turns out the new boxes have a much higher standard and require a closed system otherwise they get corrupted. Once the tech fixed the problem at the main box everything was perfect after that.

So it could be the new box is a higher demand for a clean signal and soemwhere in the process it isn't getting a clean signal, a split with another system, the quality of the cable in your home, etc? Hope this helps.

When you press and hold the microphone button, what color is the LED on the remote? If you say "about" does a screen pop up that says "about XFINITY TV"?

Hi,

If you see this again, would you mind posting the name of the programa and the approximate time that you played it back?

Thanks!

Gwen

Hello,

I recently noticed that I am getting this error in our bedroom box, PA PX032ANI starting a few weeks ago.  The X1 DVR box is fine.  After rebooting the bedroom unit, it will be fine for a little bit, then start freezing, sometimes displays the XRE-03044 error message, jump to previous channel, freeze, error message, rinse and repeat.

Please help.  Thank you.

Darius

could you give a bit more detail? Do you just have the DVR and the xi3 companion set top boxes? What is the model number of the xg1 DVR (voice command "about"). Were you watching live TV or recording on TV? if watching a recording, did the problem happen after you ended watching it and then live TV would not start up?

I would like to stream or record some shows with the English soundtrack but to also have Spanish subtitles or captioning. I can't seem to figure out how to set it up.  How do I do this?

captions now are digital and any recording maintains all the 'streams'. Note if Spanish is not included in the stream they can't be created by the x1 set top box.

Why does the cable continuously stop transmitting from 3:30am until it comes back on usually 2 hour

Rdk10000. I have disconnected the the box ✅the connections had a signal sent remotely by Comcast and ran through a battery of test with an agent. This is ridiculous, frustrating and unacceptable. Also, when the TV is on it blacks out for 3-15secs constantly. Spent 45mins with an agent on 4/24 it was to be fixed by 12noon on that day after everything we did "NOT".

Sounds like you have a signal/connection/wiring issue and you may want to have Comcast send a tech out to investigate.
