As I mentioned earlier in this thread, X1 boxes have a questionable history with projectors, especially when an AV receiver is involved. Also X1 boxes do not respond well with HDMI "adapters" and "converters".
You have an Arris DVR. You may want to swap it out for a Pace made DVR...

Robert,
I think you need to reread my earlier post in this thread. Also, you never mentioned EXACTLY which X1 box you are talking about...
Model number please???
This is an XG1-A. Not sure of the mfgr, but I'm guessing that you probably know.
Sorry for the delay, had to rebuild my laptop (Win10 issue with the Preview Builds) and lost my link to this forum & thread.
More Attempts
The Blue Screen Returned Again and I rebooted (power cycled it by pulling the plug). When it came up after the Welcome screen, it was fine and I saw it was set to 16:9, 720p. I changed it to 16:9, 1080i but did not have time to try to discern if there was a sharper screen by going back n forth on a NASCAR event on an HD channel.
The next time I turned it on, the Blue Screen Returneth. I tried rebooting, but no luck, just a blue screen. It has been blue the past couple of days. Ugh! Of course, hooking up my PC, the projector does just fine with it.
