Yes. I am using the ones that came with the system.
I am also using Dolby Digital 5.1 as well. I used expert mode and it was unchanged.

the HDMI connector is always 'on' and your local channels will probably be in HD.

tune to an SD channel. sound perfect? tune to a music choice channel, sound perfect? tune to a local channel. sound perfect? connect HDMI directly to TV and turn on TV speakers. sound perfect on all channels?

X1 actor Biographies no longer available.......
On Sunday 7/22 around 8 pm (ET), the X1 system changed and lost the feature to read an actors bio. All that remains is the person's date and place of birth.
Prior to last night, you could read a paragraph or 2 about that persons life, work, and possibly even a date of death (if applicable)
I enjoyed this feature and wonder 2 things:
1) Why was it taken away?
2) Are there plans to restore this feature (if so, what's the timeframe)

I went ahead and purchased the EVO-1 9 port amp and rewired my entire house (took 2 days). I purchased quad shield RG-6 pure copper cable and ran direct runs to all points in the house, 6 all together. I no longer have any splitters or cables spliced together with connectors.
That has revolved the issue. I can now get all channels clearly, the downstream signal at my modem went from -6.5 to +2 while the upstream went from 50 down to 42. I'm glad I went ahead and did it. The installation is much cleaner as I no longer have cable wires running along the floors of the bedrooms (I dropped the lines down the walls from the attic and put in cable outlets).
I have the same installation and it has been solid since I got X1 when if first came out in my marlet.

I think bandwidth as mentioned is a factor. And as I understand it, there is a limited amount of bandwidth a utility / communications company has available to buy. Some is reserved for emergency govt 911 services.
So for example Comcast can/does buy certain frequencies or amounts, and at&t has so much available to them.
Its a matter of how they best use what is available to them.
I doubt the feature will return, it would take many likes or reply to the post.
A few of us complaining will do little.
