Hi there,
I am receiving the exact same error (XRE-00303) as of trying to connect for the first time this morning. There must be an issue on the comcast server side... I've also tried power cycling several times.

There's presently an ongoing activation issue.

You can purchase them but Comcast won't activate them...as always, buyer beware.
@ComcastAndrew: Wow! Thank you so much for taking me seriously!!!!!!!!!! How did you you get those screen shots? I see no way to do that through xfinity.com or my STB.
Sorry Comcast Andrew but they are, look at the fcc ruling. They have been available for several years. If you purchase an illegal one, Comcast has the right to get it back. But don't sit there and spread this garbage that they are illegal. There are legitimate places that sell refurbished cable boxes purchased from Motorola. Maybe you should talk to Motorola or the fcc.
It's on one of the programs we have access to. Get in touch with the contact I gave you and hopefully they can figure it out.
One place to get them that has been in business for several years running a legitimate business is cableboxandmodems.com
xxx-xxx-xxxx (edited for phone number)
it interesting because Comcast always tell me they are going to shut this place down.
that was three years ago and thousands of cables boxes ago.
They're not "illegal", they just won't be able to be activated.
As of August 2011 fix ruling 76.1205(b)(5)
cable providers are required to give cable card to the consumer and to be activated in there device they have purchased. Thousand of cable boxes have been sold an activated by Comcast customers.
Any indication as to how long this may persist?
I have the same screen when trying to install a replacement X1 box. I spend way too much time on the phone with support.
Select Xfinity, select Apps, then Netflix
Select a show:
Audio starts
Video loads a few percent, stalls at some higher value -- 25% or so
Audio continues, no video -- stalled
If I press the Xfinity button on remote, the video briefly flashes on, then goes to the xfinity menu
Select Apps and Netflix again, and select the same show
Video and audio starts as expected, and in sync
Very consistent behavior --- 75% of the time.
Internet speed test shows 90+ Mbps
Solution??
thanks
Kevin
I have X1 system with a CATV connection in my back office, but poor wifi connectivity from the X1 modem on the other end of the house. Can I make a wired internet connection from my CATV connection for my tv?
We apparently have only one bucket - the cloud bucket. Take a look at the screen shots by ComcastAndrew on "X1 Cloud versus STB recordings: How can I tell the difference? Can I delete from Cloud but not STB?" At least ComcastAndrew and ComcastKenF are taking me seriously. at this point.
I have had Comcast internet in my apartment for the past two years with an Arris SB6580 modem and have had zero issues. Recently I signed up for an X1 cable package and I am experiencing connectivity issues with my X1 box.
The connectivity issues seems to occur if my modem is active before plugging in and starting the cable box. The cable box will display either RDK-03003, RDK-03004, or RDK-03030 after powering on. I have two cable wall outlets in my apartment, it does not matter if I give the X1 box and the modem their own outlet or I use the provided splitter and have them share an outlet. In both cases if the Modem is up and running before I start the X1 box, it will error out.
To get around the issue for the past few days I first unplug the modem, plug in the X1 box and let it connect, then plug the modem back in and let it connect. I am then able to watch cable without issue and my internet is fine too.
I decided to ask here first for help, but will most likely call a tech out soon.
Thank you! #2 worked - or at least took me to where I could cancel future recordings. I really appreciate the response!!
I really think Rusty would quit pushing the 720p choice Comcast made if he actually owned a decent UHD television to see what is happening to the picture after upscalling from 720p to 4K. Seeing is believing.
It sounds like his next tv would be a 720p model. They are dirt cheap if any are still being made for use in our country. As for cable-box output settings try 1080p, 1080i, or 720p to see which works out best for each user when viewing the picture.
As the title says, I am having this problem where auto tune HD is working on the 800+ channels, but not on 1400+ channels. I can manually enter and access the 1400+ channel (e.g. 1485 for cooking channel HD), but if I use the Voice control it brings me the SD and doesn't auto tune if it is a one of 1400+ channel, but it will work if it is one of the 800+.
Anyone else with that problem? And does anyone has a solution. I tried rebooting the X1 and also doing a diagnostic, to no avail. Before I contact support I am curious to know whether this is a known issue.
Thanks.

Yes, I am familiar with all the current recording options including being able to select a "single" date in a two weeks period. Maybe you didn't understand my original posting. Like I could with DirecTV, I want to schedule a "time slot" (manual recording) for a particular day of the week and every day of the week M-F ... I want these "time slots" to record every Monday, every Tuesday, etc. until I choose to change or delete it. Also, I want to be able to record exact "time slots" for every day of the week Monday thru Friday. This was a very simple task with DirecTV. You simply selected the channel, then the day of the week or M-F, then the duration for the recording and that was it. Regardless of whether the regular program came on during those scheduled "time slots", or for some reason (major breaking news event, etc.) the show names were changed (This actually happens many times such as back during the past Presidential election coverage.) No matter how you select a show to record with X1 DVR, if the name changes for any reason, that show or period of time will not record. This is something that Xfinity/Comcast needs to address ASAP!!
Yes, I understand but the feature is just not available at this time. I would like to see a feature added myself which is the ability to add a placeholder because many of the networks announce their programming in advance of the guide information. Unfortunately, that feature too is not available.
ComcastKenF wrote:egraypitt, thanks for your feedback regarding our DVR capabilities. I understand your frustration. There is an option to record manually. First go to the channel in the grid guide, hover over the channel logo and press the record button. There you can set the time and explore other options.
