Re: X1 satellite box?
Re: X1 New Box Blur Help
Have you looked at your TV's settings? Also, your new XG1 may have a different default setting than what you made to your original X1 box. I would look at both.

Is this what you are referring to?

That's what folks kept saying was the reason for a lot of the functionality losses, although I still believe it's a bandwidth/performance decision.
No word on that.
Re: can the new dvr box connect via bluetooth
wrote: Hi Andrew,
I just had an HG4 Bluetooth enabled box installed. It works for one pair of headphones, but not two. Is that correct? If it is, that’s unfortunate. Is there any kind of workaround? I also have a Homespot Blue Tooth Audio Transmitter that does work for two headphones, but I was never able to get it to work with either. Any tips gratefully received
Since Bluetooth is in Comcast Labs, that means it is in a "testing" stage. Start a new thread for a feature request.

Since you currently have a 4K television, you can watch 4K using your apps found on your tv. The "You Tube" app has 4K which is free. The "Netflix" app on your tv would also work for 4K if you pay Netflix for the 4K option. If you have High-speed Internet you really don't need the 4K DVR just yet.
Re: Update to X1
addiing... do you have an amp? is th eLED power lamp lighted on the amp? someone may have unplugged the power 'brick' in the living area that uses coax to send the power to the amp.
Re: X1 New Box Blur Help
Thx for the reply. I never change my TV settings and I double checked they are the same before and after the box swap. I have the settings written down, and they have been the same for years. As far as the default cable box video setting, I tried all of them 720P, 1080i, and 1080P and they all have the same motion blur problem. Are there any other cable box settings you are referencing? I tried zoom on and off and that didn’t help either. Don’t see anything else to change.
Also, my TV is 120 hz and the motion is still absolutely perfect with no blur in fast moving PS4 games, which I play every day. In fact, the motion handling on my TV is better than most of the expensive new TVs that I’ve seen. The industry has taken a step backwards in the motion department for most new 4K tv’s.

Doh, now I see that little box.
Thanks
That's something that was confusing me, I was thinking that something I was streaming like YouTube or Amazon Prime, Netflix video Etc, doesn't have anything to do with the cable box.
I turned the cable box off and was watching 4g content on YouTube and it look really good to me.
I shouldn't have any problems with streaming or anything of that nature as I am getting good speed at 120 mbps
Re: Cable box keeps rebooting
To be clear, Fazool, shutting off the automatic power save means that my cable box is ON all the time, correct? I shouldn't shut it off manually via the on/off button, or that will simply throw it into power save mode and negate my test here, correct?
One night with no reboots since I've done this. Though that's not uncommon, so the experiment is still under way

Are you kidding me? It's on the Same Page your Reply is on.
Re: Playlist Looping
i already read this article, it's sort of helpful, but the problem is that it only does this for Kid's Zone shows; i'm talking about people having created a playlist of Movies or Episodes off a TV show they bought or DVR'd on their Cable Box, like how one makes a playlist of MP4 movies and Episodes they download off the internet to watch on Media players like Windows Media Player or VLC Media Player.
Those players have an option to "repeat" or loop a playlist when the list plays the last MP4 and start over from the first Video.
My Question is, does Xfinity have that same option for playlists our customer's create; Not the Shuffle option, but Specifically is it able to Repeat or Loop an Already-created Playlist?

No word on that.
Tivo sued Comcast again this January over X1 supposedly violating 8 patents.
I say just go for 9 or 10 and get us frame by frame back...
Re: Eaton CHSPCABLE compatibility with xfinity
what does "They don't play nice" mean?
Re: Cable box keeps rebooting
the settop boxes are very energy efficient even when fully on. you might save only $1/year if you left the set top box in power save mode 24/7/365 (but then why have it).
Re: Problems with X1
Andrew,
Just wanted to follow up on this since I hadn't heard anything back in 3 days.
Would you recommend that I have the box swapped out before having a tech come out? If so, can I have a new box shipped to me instead of having to visit my local service center?
Re: Xfinity XG1v4 TV Box
I’m in the process of having 1 XG1v4 installed today but would like to have another sent to me for my other 4K television.
Also while we are at it it would be great to have a new XB6 gateway shipped with it since I believe my current gateway is due for replacement.
Can you let me know the next steps?
Thanks.
tv sound
Sound goes off about evert 15 min or so for about 5-7sec.This is the main cable box for the x1 tv in LR.The one BR (small box) doesn't have this problem.
