comcast labs signal strength cannot check at this time
At one point within the last 1-2 years since I got xfinity,
it was nice with the menu of comcast labs and the signal strength check worked at one point.
It has not worked when I try it for at least the last 6 months,
always responds with
unfortunately we cannot check your signal strength at this time. please try again later.
the hold exit button 5 seconds, down arrow twice, then 2 does not work.

Problems, Cable box aferseveral hours of beng off upon turning it back on the message is no conection? after power cycle and 5 mintue reboot it comes back on and works fine till the next time used. All other devices (cable Boxes) are fine. Does this box have to remain on ?

This has happened to our second TV since the moment we got the X1. I have had two techs out, swapped out the box, changed the cables and the techs put a booster in the basement. I am taking the whole system back tomorrow and getting the old system back. I didn't have nearly the issues with the old technology that I have had with this. $200 a month and we can't watch tv. They want me to change to their wireless cell service but if they can't handle my cable they sure as heck aren't getting my wireless cell business.

Screensaver
I want to disable the screensaver function on my dvr. Everything I have read so far is that all you can do is select the max of 5 hours in settings. Is there some way to disable this and what is the purpose of the screensaver?

in home, yes while a recording is still in progress. outside of the home (not on home wifi) recording must finish first before watching it.

Whay doesn't Xfinity have WatchESPN on it's TV service? I can get it on my phone and tablet, but I have to have Amazon Fire or other streaming services to receive it on my TV.

Update: The signal amplifier was showing a warning light so it was no good. Once that was bypassed tv started working. 👍🏼 I’ll work on the internet tomorrow

There is a Sonos sound bar connected to the TV but not activated (using TV sound). HDMI cable attached from cable box directly to TV.
