Radio Interference From Cable Box
My cable box is in the same cabinet as my stereo receiver. I have to unplug the power from my cable box to be able to listen to stations on the AM band. Not sure if the problem is the power supply or the cable box or both.
Auto Power Off
Has Xfinity made a change to the Auto Power Off feature? There is a way to turn it on and off but I no longer see the time period to wait setting. Also It no longer seems to power off and there is no notice when I turn the TV on of the time that power was saved. The power light is on when I look at it in the morning. I have verified and it is turned on.
Is there really any advantage when using the feature? I see no delay other than the TV powering up when power saver is used.
Re: HDMI Link option disappeared
That's fine, but if it causes issues that force you to turn it off, then what good is it?

examine your receiver or manual for capability to add an indoor AM antenna loop. some examples on Amazon for example are [ HERE ]

We have our living room wired so our cable box sits away from TV. Because of this the wiring used for HDMI is an older red green blue input system with 2audio inputs as well instead of the newer HDMI cable. So I can’t connect our existing wiring to the new box. What are my options. I’m not willing to re-wire house. Is there a converter?
Yes.
Re: Another Sound Bar Question
wrote:
I connected a Sony HT-MT300 soundbar to my TV (optical connection).. When entering codes to pair the remote, I was successful after a few tries, and I was able to control the volume on it and power it on/off. However, when the soundbar is paired, the remote will no longer work for the TV volume. I've tried it with the soundbar off, pairing just one thing (TV), pairing both (TV and soundbar) in Easy Pair. So for now, I just re-paired my TV only, so that volume works. Any suggestions as to how I can have both the TV and soundbar work on the same remote (X11 remote, XG1v4 box)?
RustyBen is right, you can only control either the TV or the soundbar with the remote, since your soundbar doesn't have HDMI support (which would allow ARC for the TV to soundbar and thus linked control).
I'd suggest just using the soundbar since you'll have full immersive surround.
Correct Netflix Plan and X1/Netflix Info
So, I'm going to sign up for Netflix. They offer a plan for $8 and one for $11. The $11 plan says that you can get HD. I have X1, Blast internet, a DVR box and 3 of the smaller HD boxes.
Does this mean that if I got the $8 plan, X1 would reduce my image quality to SD or would it show in HD anyway? I'm assuming HD is 1080p?
If I did get the $11 plan that includes HD and you can view on 2 devices at the same time, could we watch one Netflix show on the DVR box and a different show on one of the other boxes (both in HD)?
Thanks for the info, just want to make sure I get the right thing before I sign up. Thanks.
Re: SD Box not sizing video correctly
Hi there, I have already tried multiple times and still no luck. I'm still waiting for the Comcast employee's response.
Re: SD Box not sizing video correctly
We are all still having this problem with the video display.
Re: Volume issue on X1 with HD TV and Vizio Soundbar
Thanks everyone! Turns out my Soundbar's optical cable is damaged and that's why it wasn't working.

due to the small difference between standby and 'on' the savings are around $1.00 if you leave a DVR in standby (never on) for 365/24/7. it is much easier to use the menu to turn off the power LED or clock if there is a clock (in my opinion).
Re: Xfinity 4k - XG1v4 Cable Box Availability
wrote: Yes...those boxes will support 4K...What Comcast fails to disclose is that after you receive the box you will be billed an extra $19.95/mo. So before you upgrade your 5 beautiful OLED or QLED or 4K TVs be prepared to pay Comcast an additional $100/mo plus tax just for the privilege of allowing you to view the content. That's $1200/yr. This is because Comcast only makes a DVR box that will support 4K. Most people only need 1 DVR box and you can watch on any TV in the house. But Comcast MAKES you have a DVR for each TV to view 4K. Not only do we pay for content we don't need, we now pay for equipment we shouldn't need. Comcast response is, then don't buy a 4K TV.
might be a bit of a misunderstanding. An additional X1 set top top box is $10/month, add $9.95 and it will be a DVR. Comcast will likely have a 4k companion set top box in the future but is not yet offered. ComcastElla has pointed out that when a set top box is shipped to you that you technically have an 'extra' (charge) set top box until your old set top box is returned and the system credits you back to the ship date of the 4k set top box.

$8 is the limited streams SD plan. the $12 is for 2 HD streams. add $3 and you get 4 streams and 4k/UHD. Some cell providers are offering free Netflix with a $3 extra for 4k where the subscription is usable on the X1.
Where's the blue tooth option?
Why would you remove a feature?
Re: Netflix Issue
Any updates to this? I have 4 boxes total in my house. The 2 that are DVR's are having this issue. The 2 that are not DVR's work fine. Been an issue for a week or so.
Movie Star Biographies
What happened to the Movie Star Bios on Xfinity??
Here Yesterday--Gone Today-- No Reason---
It was a Nice feature to find out about different stars--and to see what other movies they were in.
Also--made it easier to find the Movie with Voice--instead of looking for it-
Anyone else having this problem??
Can't pair X1 voice remote to my TV.
During Christmas I got a new RCA 4k TV (RLDED5098-UHD). I've read everything on the forums here. I've tried all the codes suggested. Nothing. This is still an actively sold model (confirmed on Walmarts site).
Anyone been able to pair their remote to this TV model?!
